Build By Doing-Together

What is SLOCLAW?

In an agentic AI economy, slowing down isn’t an option.
But we can calm down and get things right as the world speeds up.

SLOCLAW is the Genesis Foundry (#001) of the Human Agent League (HAL).
It is an officially licensed IRL training node of HAL, where humans learn to build with AI agents in real rooms, with real people, in a culture designed for trust, creativity, and responsible innovation.

Born in San Luis Obispo (SLO). Designed for everywhere.

  • AI moves faster than humans can keep up. Tools compound daily. The real constraint becomes trust, governance, and the ability to verify what is real.

SLOCLAW Foundry exists to prove something different:

When we design environments where people feel grounded, welcomed, empowered, and connected, innovation accelerates without losing its soul.

We build with urgency. We move with care. We ship what matters. We do it together.

  • Culture always comes before code.

San Luis Obispo is known for something rare: happiness rooted in rhythm, ritual, and belonging. It is also home to Cal Poly’s “Learn By Doing” ethos.

SLOCLAW Foundry takes that DNA and turns it into an IRL training ground for the agentic era, inclusive and intimate, nurturing yet cutting-edge.

And because it is a Foundry inside HAL, the format is exportable: every Foundry runs the same core standards, with local flavor layered on top.

  • This is not a conference.
    It’s not a pitch night.
It’s not a networking event where everyone scans for advantage.

    It’s a build gathering, a build-a-thon.

People (technical and non-technical) bring ideas. Agents assist. Strangers become collaborators. Momentum compounds.

You leave with progress, partners, something real to demo, and a clearer view of how to build responsibly as the world changes fast.

  • Whether we agree with it or like it, the future will be automated. Human trust will not.

SLOCLAW Foundry is physical on purpose.

When humans and agents collaborate in the same room:

    • ethics and issues become visible

    • responsibility becomes shared

    • alignment becomes faster

    • the room becomes the safety layer

We are prototyping how society builds with AI together before someone else decides for us.

  • The internet trained us to react.

SLOCLAW Foundry trains us to respond and ask better questions.

    No frenzy.
    No performative hustle.
    No artificial urgency.

Just clear thinking, strong collaboration, and steady forward motion.

Calm is not poetic here. Calm is enforced by format: timeboxes, checklists, and a “ship something real” finish.

  • Like the culture that gave birth to us, SLOCLAW runs on HAL’s ritual and global support.

HAL Never Sleeps. The League Trains Every Thursday.

Thursday nights are the guaranteed weekly training rhythm across Foundries worldwide. At SLOCLAW Foundry, that means:

    • consistent meetups

    • familiar faces and fresh minds

    • open doors for new people

    • steady progress you can count on

Consistency creates trust. Trust creates velocity. Community creates meaningful connections.

  • BUILDERS, OPERATORS, INVESTORS, FOUNDERS, STUDENTS, RESEARCHERS, CIVIC LEADERS, PROFESSIONAL SERVICE PROVIDERS, CREATORS, DEVELOPERS, OR ANYONE CURIOUS OR SERIOUS ABOUT LEARNING AI.

    Whether you are:

    • launching agents

    • exploring automation

    • researching alignment

    • investing in the future

    • or trying to understand what comes next in your industry and what your place in it might be

There is a seat for you at the table. If you aren’t sure, come anyway. Feeling is the fastest way to know.

To make it easier to self-select, SLOCLAW Foundry supports three tracks:

    • Builder Track: ship something real

    • Operator Track: turn use cases into usable workflows

    • Mentor and Investor Track: guide, evaluate, discover talent, and signal

    • A Community of Responsible Acceleration

  • We believe:

    • Innovation should increase human capacity

    • AI should expand dignity and opportunity

    • Technology should strengthen communities, not weaken them

    • Progress without ethics is noise

    • Verifiability is not optional

    • Humans stay accountable for outcomes

HAL is honor-first. Winning only counts if it is safe, honest, and verifiable.

We are here to build the signal.

  • WHAT YOU WILL WALK AWAY WITH

    New collaborators.
    New tools.
    New clarity.
    Real momentum.

And something deeper: a sense that the future might actually work, because you are learning how to build it the right way.

You also gain a practical signal that travels:

    • proof packs and demos

    • reproducible steps

    • better OPSEC habits

    • a reputation for doing it right

  • The HAL Championship Series is the League’s global, pro-tier competition circuit—made up of three distinct professional events hosted in cities across our worldwide Foundry node network:

    • HAL Games — the season’s 10 benchmark battles and decathlon series

    • HAL Open — the open-entry golf-inspired proving ground and qualifier pathway.

    • HAL Grand Prix — the premier, best-of-the-best championship format inspired by the performance under pressure intensity of an F! race.

Together, these events define the highest level of verified performance in the League. Foundries train weekly on Thursdays and send a team of 6 of their top members to earn the right to represent their node on the global stage under pro arena rules and win the bronze, silver, or gold Autonomous Cup Trophy for their Foundry.

Details on dates, venue, rulebook, and entry timelines will be released in Summer 2026.

  • Follow the calendar on Luma and RSVP for the next event.

    Bring your ideas.
    Bring your questions.
    Bring your skepticism.
    Bring your ambition.

We supply the room, the rhythm, and the people.

  • Build Night is not for production deployment. You build using mock data, sandbox environments, and proof packs. Do not bring seed phrases, production credentials, or private keys.tion

  • You can still participate. Teams can ship with one laptop. Non-laptop roles include navigator, verifier, threat scout (OPSEC), and storyteller. Building includes design, governance, verification, and demo prep.

  • Qualifiers are occasional controlled events (monthly or quarterly) that mimic pro arena rules and can help seed teams into official HAL competition pathways.

  • These are the League’s official competition series formats. Foundries can field representative teams to compete under League standards for a chance to bring the Autonomous Cup home to their city for a full year.

Foundries are encouraged to accept Bitcoin and Stablecoin payments in addition to cash or fiat.
